My Checks are encased on Saturday 09/15th. My Applications received nebraska on July 20th. Since My I-140 is from Texas, the case transferred to Texas.
Just Checks are cashed, not yet recieved any Receipt Notices yet.

Most of the desi employers in this country have gone thru the same H1B and GC process and got all bad experience. BUT when they start their own company, MOST OF THEM (NOT ALL OF THEM) do the same..... Employer should treat employees, the same way they are expecting to be treated as an employee.. In a long run, Employers with good ethics and practices makes more money and reputation.. The releationship goes longer only if employer and employee both benefits from it.. Isn't it simple to understand and put it into the practice ?

Why did you file EAD? Waste of money. You will be getting your GC anytime. EB2 ROW is curent.
Yes it is current. But I don't know when they'll be approving it. Besides now we pay $1010 for I-485/131/765. There's no breakdown.

Well, its ones own point of view. My point of view is, a bird in hand is better than two in the bush. Worst case, they'll revoke ur 485 but cannot deny u re-entry to the US based on ur H1B. But if u r on EAD, I'm not sure. Once u r back in the US, u can always dispute the denial by canceling ur Canadian PR and submitting the canceled documents alongwith ur dispute as proof which should definitely put ur GC application back in the reckoning. Again, the question is, is it worth taking the risk? Well, it is...because u didn't get ur Canadian PR just by sitting at home. U did the Finger Printing, U did the Indian PC, U took the english test, U did the medicals, spent so much of ur time, money and energy in the process. Now, by just foregoing all those efforts do u wanna have 100% hopes that ur GC wont be rejected and lose out on ur Canadian option as well? Think about it.
I dont have H1B stamp and i have already used AP, what if they revoke my 485 and ask me to go for stamping and i get stuck for month to receive clearance, i dont know any one in canada and staying in hotel and waiting for clearance could cause me 1000s of $ , not to say, i will not get my pay because my employer didnt do my canadian PR.
I agree, i did spend a lot fo money doing canadian PR process, i did hire a lawyer to do all these and cost me $5000+ but I guess its not worth taking the risk and losing all my savings, I think this is called destiny, being so close to something still not able to get that, meaning it was not meant for me....

1) Contacted Senator/Congressman/Governor
2) Filled 7001 form for Ombudsman
3) Called USCIS 10 times in last 10 days and come to know that everything is cleared on my and wife applications.

record conversatios with these jack ass employers. It is surprising how much crap and illegal things they tell and do during negotiations. Not sure about the legality, would not harm if you dont use it. We keep seeing news on people getting screwed and then when outed the victim is not usually screwed by the system again.
Also, I wonder if any employment contract not tied to any reasonable time estimate( like 485 - who knows when we will get it) will hold.Its akin to slavery.

Per my attorney - If the I140 approval came from TSC, you can send your AOS to TSC directly. Hope this helps.
I really don't understand these Attorneys. Its clearly mentioned on 485 form that ALL 485 petitions should go to NSC. period.
And as far as I know, due to awareness and the fact we all are professionals who can go to USCIS site and read the instructions in black and white, we should not just rely on this morons (attorneys.. though there are some good ones around)

Finally I got the receipt notice for I485, AP, EAD. When I checked online, it seems they already ordered the EAD card.
My app received NSC on July 2nd 9:01 AM, got transfered to TSC.

I only got CPO on 8/8/8 and soft LUD on 8/9/8/
My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.

It looks like prior to this visa bulletin, the DOS was just guessing the dates for the visa bulletins. Hopefully this behavior changes moving forward.
The best example to illustrate this is EB3-ROW:
1) Back in October 2006, this category was on 01MAY02. Very close to where it is right now.
2) DOS was not getting enough visas from USCIS, so they increased the date. By May of 2007 (Same Fiscal Year) the date was 01AUG03.
3) They still didn't get enough visas. So, by June of 2007 they moved it to 01JUN05.
4) The July 07 bulletin happened and after that everything became unavailable.
5) Then in October 2007, when the USCIS had not revised any of the July 07 applications, the DOS still didn't know what to expect, so they went back to 01AUG02.
6) Again, they didn't get enough applications, so they moved the date up. By January 08 they were in 15OCT02. And in Jun, they went all the way to 01JAN06. Then they became unavailable again.
7) In October of 2008 the date was in 01JAN05, which means that USCIS was not done with the July 07 cases and DOS didn't know what to expect. In April of this year they go back to 2003 (some I-485s that were received back in 2007 getting approved?) and then they became unavailable.
8) Now in October 2009 they are back in 2002.
With dates going from 2001 to 2005 then back to 2002 then up to 2006 then back again to 2002 (EB3-ROW in the last 3 years), it is easy to conclude that up until now, USCIS and DOS have been gambling with the dates. So the October bulletin could mean one of two things: 1) Either they have valid data now and the dates for this bulletin are realistic, which would be good because at least we would know now where we stand or 2) They are still gambling, which is neither good or bad, because with the previous history of movement in the dates, the dates could go back to 2006 again or even further...

I and my wife transfer notice by mail. I have no idea, why I received them.
I read on the forums where people successfully called USCIS and got their Receipt Number with their name and DOB. However, they mentioned USCIS that they were waiting for more than 90 days to get level 2 IO support.
