Further evidence that new hardware will not be released this summer. Why go through the trouble of firing up production of this phone just to shut it down in a month if not less than a month to start production of a new phone?

Because the iPad has a different resolution so the app has to be programmer for the iPhone. However, universal apps are the same code base with the different resolution and UI information for the appropriate device. So yes, any application can be ran on both devices with minimal changes required.

I don't expect special treatment. Any dotmac user has the ability to petition Apple for a free year of service to compensate for reliability issues. I'm not pulling a fast one on Apple. It was their decision to give me a free year, and if they do it again it will also be their decision.
If they won't give me a free year as a gesture of goodwill, I am free to make my own decisions based on theirs.

Just need the graphics card to arrive and I'm pretty much done hardware wise. Then its just setting the machine up.

BTW no pictures as yet. Being a noob to tower based systems I didn't order long enough data cables so the inside is real messy. I think I'll just go for 1 meter length cables and cable tie them in place nice and neat. That will aid airflow as well.
One thing just quickly. As Nap is now working, is the connector that the main system fan normally plugs into throttled? Its just that at the moment I've got the fan plugged into a 12v supply and its running max rpm all the time. I would like to get it temperature controlled to keep the noise down even more.

It looks like AT&T automatically applied the Unlimited Mobile to Any Mobile feature on my account. I've always had the 450 minute plan, unlimited texting, and unlimited data ($89.99 not including my corp. discount). I logged in and the Features page displayed Unlimited texting with no mention of Unlimited Mobile to Any Mobile. Then I went to the calling plan page and it appears to have already been added.
Nothing in that screenshot indicates that the Any Mobile plan has been added. You should see it as an option on the Features page. You'll have to have an unlimited texting plan, though.

Couldn't care less when iphone5 or 4gs or whatever comes out. My iphone4 is an excellent device and delivers everything I could want from a smart phone.

When the next iPhone does come out how will iPhone 4 Verizon customers be able to upgrade? Do you think that Verizon and AT&T will work out an early upgrade for them?
Or do you think people who want the iPhone on Verizon will have already waited for the 5.
There is no need to update your phone every year - updating every other year is just fine. People who really want to have the latest every year or so will have to pay the price for it. People buying the iPhone4 on Verizon were very well aware that the model might be outdated before the end of the year and still bought it knowing that - they probably don't plan getting the iPhone5 right away or were at least aware that this won't happen on a discounted price.
