I am using AC21. I start my new Job on Monday. I have had an independent attorney of my own for the past 3 years from whom I get a second opinion from time to time. I have already hired them for my AC21. I really liked the attorney I was working with through my old employer as well and at this time I do not know if my I-140 will be revoked. My employer will keep me in the loop with anything. My attorney has already prepared an AC21 package. Take a look at Page 3 of the Yates Memo. Accordingly, if the employer withdraws the approved Form I-140 on or after the date that

the office having jurisdiction over the pending Form I-485 that the new offer of employment is
in the same or similar occupational classification as the offer of employment for which the
petition was filed. Accordingly, if the underlying approved Form I-140 is withdrawn, and the
alien has not submitted evidence of a new qualifying offer of employment, the adjudicating
officer must issue a Notice of Intent to Deny the pending Form I-485. See 8 CFR
103.2(b)(16)(i). If the evidence of a new qualifying offer of employment submitted in response
to the Notice of Intent to Deny is timely filed and it appears that the alien has a new offer of
employment in the same or similar occupation, the BCIS may consider the approved Form I-140
to remain valid with respect to the new offer of employment and may continue regular
processing of the Form I-485. If the applicant responds to the Notice of Intent to Deny, but has
not established that the new offer of employment is in the same or similar occupation, the

I am expecting no problems when leaving my current company. but just incase they decide to revoke my 140,
- is it ok to file AC21 after i receive the NOID if some thing happens or is it better to file AC21 now?
one other complication is i will be changing address too. how long does it take for USCIS to update my new address in their records? the reason i am asking is if they send me RFE or NOID, i will totally miss the boat if they send it to the wrong address. i am sure they will send a copy to my attorney, but he works form my current employer and I will assume he is less likely to help. Does it help if i file G28 with my own name and my new address?
I need to join my new job in 10 days and i hev give my crrent company a notice so it is a bit urgent. Please help.

It is my turn to receive the "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident" today. My depenedents are yet to receive this mail. This forum, Immigration-law, Immigration portal by Rajiv Khanna and many other immigration lawyers' websites like Murthy's etc were very useful to understand the immigration laws.
I did everything myself (EB2-NIW - India) - I140, I485, AP and EAD and my PD (I140 RD) and I485 RD are 08-30-2005.
I did make a one time conribution of $100.00 to IV.

I do not think USA is losing ground. If China and India thinks that they are Really improving economy Why can't they make their currencies free Trade? Why are they artifically Keeping exchange rates. The reason is if really a country is stronger then currency should go up and US dollar should become weaker. But India and Cannot sustain as the export business will go down for India and China if their currency becomes too strong. So India and China are looking for US and europe Market. So inter dependence is always there. There is lot of speculation that India will exceed US in 2020. But it is far from true. For stronger Indian economy India needs US Consumption. For that USA needs to be stronger. May be lot of human resources are there in india. But that will be also resolved in another 20 Years because still Inflow is more than return to india. 80% of H1s are Indians apart from lot of L1 people.

I think they moved very cautiously because of porting. Porting seems to be much more serious than we all thought maybe. Also as well as since it's just may, they traditionally don't open floodgates until late.

A small correction - the notice sent by IRS did not mention that my filing status was changed from "married filing jointly" to "married filing separately" or "filing single". The notice says that
"We didn't allow your spouse's personal exemption because your spouse's:
Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) was missing or
Last name doesn't match our records or the records provided by the Social Security Administration.

To avoid being like the thread running a few days ago, I don't want to be responding to each response. However, I do want clear a few things:
I am not promoting one parenting technique over the other.
As I said, I agree with a few things and disagree with a few things the author talks about.
Having kids myself, I cannot think of a parent who would do harm to their own child. Each set of parents come with their own parenting skills that works for them and their children. I leave it at that.
I only posted this because my doc asked me of my opinion and I in turn asked the opinion of IV members. If this thread is going to turn ugly, lets stop it, that was not my intention.

I think sertasheep put it right. For Indian MBBS, US trained docs the best options outside US are the middle east, Dubai in particular, and India. In India Appolo and Escorts hire foreign trained docs but remember India also does not recognize US PG degree so they cannot work in Govt hospitals but they can always open their own shop just on the basis of MBBS and boldly put US degree on the big board. India is truly the land of the free in this respect. You cannot even imagine doing this in US or any other developed country.
But do not write off Canada just yet because there are still some jobs there for physicians and it's not as if US trained docs are not allowed at all. Canada is worth giving a shot but Australia, New Zealand, UK, etc. are all closed and dead options for a variety of reasons ranging from licensing process, immigration process, very few training positions, very scarce medical jobs, racism, discrimination etc. Middle East has it's own issues specially if you are not a Muslim although Dubai is quite modern and welcoming but kids will be influenced and politics there is also quite nauseating. That just leaves you with India and you already know the ins and outs of it.

did 5 trips in the past 2 years (few of them official) using AP. Changed jobs twice in EAD not filed ac21. As long as you have valid AP, you are good to go to enter. make sure you remain calm and answer any questions in POE. You will be fine.

Since your wife entered the US by showing AP, her legal status is "Pending AOS" and the proof is the USCIS receipt notice of I-485 that you filed for her!
